History
A Tradition of Excellence in Nursing Education
Radians College is the educational division of Health Management Inc. (HMI). Established in 1983, HMI develops and implements programs that enhance individual and organizational productivity and well being. HMI established the HMI Regency School in 1991 to deliver educational programs focused on health care, particularly nursing.
As the fastest growing segment of the economy, the health care industry offers exciting career opportunities for caring, dedicated professionals. HMI Regency School has graduated over 1,700 practical nurses and 400 nursing assistants since its inception.
In 2004, the Board of Directors voted to expand the program to offer an Associate Degree in Registered Nursing. Additional programs in health care and social service leading to baccalaureate and master’s degrees are under development.
In 2005, supported by accreditation of the nursing programs from the District of Columbia Board of Nursing, HMI Regency School became a degree-granting institution and the named was changed to Radians College.
